WHAT IS Somatic THERAPY?

Somatic therapy is a transformative approach to healing that bridges the connection between mind and body. At its core, it recognizes that our bodies hold not just our physical form, but also the imprints of our life experiences—particularly those that have left deep emotional marks. Through gentle guidance and awareness, I support clients in tuning into their body's subtle language— the tension in shoulders that speaks of carried burdens, the constricted breath that whispers of past fears, or the postural patterns that tell stories of protective responses.

What sets somatic therapy apart is its profound respect for the body's wisdom. Rather than relying solely on verbal processing, this approach invites you to explore the physical sensations that accompany emotional states. As you learn to navigate your internal landscape in new ways, you begin to release long-held patterns of stress and trauma while restoring a fundamental sense of safety and trust in your own body.

This process is often experienced as empowering and revelatory.

WHAT WOULD A SESSION WITH ME LOOK LIKE?

In my 1:1 sessions, I offer a safe space for exploration and curiosity around your internal landscape. It can look many different ways, but always begins with checking in to see what’s most present in your body-mind. From there, we layer in various somatic techniques to meet the moment. My approach weaves the ancient wisdom of yoga with more modern day practices of nervous system regulation, breathwork, embodied movement, and trauma reprocessing to work with what’s arising and move toward deeper integration. It’s a very intuitive, compassionate, and co-creative process.

This work is often used as a complement to Western medicine and cognitive psychology, offering additional tools to holistically treat various kinds of psychological or somatic dis-ease, ranging from chronic pain to complex post-traumatic stress. We, as humans, have an integrated body-mind system, which can function optimally only when there is a state of dynamic balance. And that is exactly what we work towards in our sessions together.

WHO BENEFITS MOST FROM SOMATIC THERAPY?

The beautiful thing about this work is its broad reach and impact. Whether you’ve been suffering from addiction and are ready to try something new or you’ve recently embarked on a path of self-inquiry and want to feel more embodied, this modality can support you.

I work with clients seeking more freedom in their lives. This presents in a multitude of ways—freedom from chronic pain, addiction, anxiety, depression, digestive problems, persistent stress, emotional imbalance, dissociation, stagnation, and the list goes on. My approach recognizes that true healing embraces the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—creating pathways for more complete and lasting transformation.

Somatic work is the bridge between mind and body, where trauma can be healed and wholeness restored.
